What is an HVAC/R Technician?
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Commercial Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technicians are responsible for the systems that control the air temperature and quality in our homes, buildings, and vehicles. ATI offers the only HVAC-Excellence program from an accredited school in the Las Vegas area. Graduates of ATI’s HVAC program are fully trained and qualified to test for an ESCO EPA certification and are prepared to immediately enter the workforce and begin successful careers as HVAC Technicians.
The Workforce: As a graduate, you will become an HVAC/R technician working in homes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, or factories. Their worksites need management of hot or cold because the heating and cooling systems they must repair may not be working properly. Many of these systems are located outdoors.
Job Opportunities: As a graduate, you will be qualified to work in both the private industry and major commercial companies such as hospitals, hotels, office buildings, or manufacturers.
Applied Skills: As a graduate of the HVAC/R program you will have the skills to install, service, and repair both residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems. You will maintain EPA regulations when troubleshooting and repairing residential and commercial equipment. You will be prepared for the reputable industry certification, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification by ESCO certifying agency.
